UI/UX Designer: Lattice Training is hiring!

We are looking to expand our development team with a UI/UX designer who will work on the Lattice Training app. Together with other members of the app team, you’ll be working to make the Lattice Training app the best training platform available.

By joining the dev. team at Lattice you will have the opportunity to work with a group of highly motivated developers and climbing coaches. You’ll have control over the design and direction of the Lattice Training app. As a company, Lattice offers a flexible working environment with excellent remote working and flexi time opportunities.

Employment type: Permanent

Start date: ASAP

Hours: 30 to 37.5 hrs/week


Our office is located in Chesterfield, UK. Although home and remote working for periods of time are possible we do ask all staff to regularly attend our offices in the UK. The successful applicant must therefore have their normal place of residence in the UK.


£30k pro rata depending on experience. 


28 days pro rata + 4 public holidays.

Recruitment Process

  1. Interview
  2. Short (1-2 hours) practical task
  3. Second interview with discussion of your solution to the task

What you’ll be doing with us: 

  • Working with users to understand their training needs and wants
  • Designing features and functionality to meet user needs
  • Testing designs with users
  • Working together with the rest of the development team to refine new features
  • Working together with the rest of the app team to implement new features

Other key duties:

  • Act as an ambassador for Lattice
  • Contribute to company meetings to be involved with guiding the direction of the company

UI/UX Designer: Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience designing mobile apps or consumer software
  • Experience in Figma or similar design software
  • Experience with Git version control

UI/UX Designer: Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience running user testing workshops
  • Experience with Typescript or javascript
  • Experience with react native or similar frameworks
  • Familiarity with AWS and GCP
  • Experience with building apps for Android and iOS
  • Experience releasing apps through Google Play and Apple App Store
