LatticePlan: Pregnancy, Postpartum, and Training With Lattice
If you’re pregnant or returning to climbing postpartum, we know this can be an exciting but uncertain time — especially when it comes to training safely and confidently. We want to make sure you get the best support, so you can keep training, stay healthy, and feel well-supported throughout your journey.
Why LatticePlans aren’t suitable during pregnancy or postpartum
Training during pregnancy or in the months after birth requires specialist guidance. Every person’s experience is different, and factors such as symptoms, trimester, delivery type, recovery rate, and everyday demands all influence which training will be most effective. Our LatticePlan service isn’t currently able to collect this level of information or adjust training with the precision needed during pregnancy or postpartum.
What we recommend instead
For this training journey, close 1:1 communication with a coach who is trained in pregnancy and postpartum support is the safest and most effective approach. This allows for:
- Bespoke workout choices and modifications
- Adjustments as your body and symptoms change
- A balance between training, recovery, and daily demands
- Guidance on when and how to safely progress
In many cases, it’s also helpful for a specialist coach and a pelvic health physio to work together to give you the best overall support, which is only possible via our 1:1 coaching service.Â
