Henry Baylis

Henry joined the Lattice team as Principal AI Lead in March 2026. Henry is studying an MSc in Artificial Intelligence and has a mathematical background. His dissertation research is focussed on LLM distillation learning and efficient AI systems.

Alongside his academic and technical work, Henry’s climbing experience has been centred around both indoor and outdoor bouldering. Before focusing on climbing, he also spent many years dinghy racing at a competitive level.

Within his role at Lattice, Henry is responsible for transforming climbing and performance data into intelligent systems that respond to users’ needs. His work focuses on building tools that leverage the cutting edge of AI technology to enhance the coaching capabilities and training experience for climbers worldwide.
