Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! We work with clients all over the globe.

All of our coaching services are offered remotely so you can access world-class training, wherever you are based.

We have experience working with athletes across a huge range of abilities; from those attempting their first V5 all the way up to professional rock climbers.

The entry requirements for all of our training plans are the same, you must have climbed V4/6B boulder or 6b+/5.10+ sport in the last 12 months.

You must also be able to hang your bodyweight on a 20mm rung for 10 seconds or more.

Yes – We’ll work with you to find the healthy balance between structured and unstructured climbing that’s necessary to keep your training sustainable in the long-term; whether that’s structured climbing indoors in the week and unstructured climbing outdoors at the weekends, or squeezing training into your lunch break to complement your social climbing in the evening.

All our training plans are focused on developing the physical attributes needed for climbing. Your coach will look at the results of your testing and write a custom physical training plan to develop these.

If you’re hoping to focus on developing technique, we would recommend you work with a local in-person coach.

We’re sorry to hear that you’re injured! We wish you a speedy recovery!

Whilst we don’t typically work with injured climbers, for our Climbing Training Plan and Climbing Training Plan+, lower body injuries are the exception since maintaining your upper body strength whilst you recover is a good idea. Your coach will write you a plan focusing on upper body conditioning and finger strength; just let them know about your injury in the pre-plan form you receive at the start of your plan.

If you have a finger or upper body injury, you can still complete a Flexibility Training Plan since working on your flexibility shouldn’t interfere with recovery. Nonetheless, please let your coach know about your injury in the pre-plan form you receive at the start of your plan.

Yes – Clients who are pregnant of less thn 12 months postpartum can complete a Climbing Training Plan+, however, we ask that you get in touch prior to purchase so that we can discuss your needs and ensure we have a specialist pregnancy & postpartum coach available for you.

Climbing Training Plan+ and Flexibility Training Plan clients receive 15% off products in our webshop and 25% off our online courses.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I trained with Lattice for around 5-6 years, and in that time went from climbing one 7b, all the way to 8a, as well as pushing my trad and bouldering grade. They coached me through serious injuries, difficult periods of very intense work - where most people would give up - and were always professional, friendly, and went the extra mile. I would say that the knowledge, the personalisation, and the insight into training they provided was extra impressive, as was their deep knowledge not just of British climbing, but of the specific routes I wanted to train for. Would definitely recommend them again, and I only stopped training with them due to some wider personal issues.

Climbing Training Plan

Both pull-up max and 7s hang max went up by 5kg (20%)! Biggest difference I noticed was from regular hangboarding. Very happy with program and structure of it.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I signed up for Lattice's Performance Plus plan to improve my bouldering, and it was totally worth it. The structured training helped me break through plateaus — I made solid progress on V6s and started pushing into V7 territory. Edd has been an incredible coach: knowledgeable, supportive, and always ready to adapt the plan to my goals. I paused the plan to enjoy summer more freely, be more active outside, and explore lead climbing outdoors — but I’m finishing the program stronger, more confident, and way more capable than when I started.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

Working with Josh through the Lattice program over the past few years has been one of the most meaningful parts of my climbing journey. His support, insight, and encouragement have helped me grow not only as a climber but as someone who truly believes in their own potential. The training was thoughtful, personalized, and challenging in all the right ways, and Josh was always there to guide, adapt, and inspire. I’m stepping away from structured training for now to reconnect with the more spontaneous side of climbing, but I’ll carry everything I’ve learned from this experience with me. If you’re looking for expert coaching with a deeply human touch, I can’t recommend Lattice, and especially Josh, highly enough. Thank you for everything!

Climbing Training Plan

I'm happy with my training plan – I achieved my goal, sent my project in Arco, Italy. Overall, I feel stronger and have more endurance. Special thanks to Aiden for the great training plan!

Climbing Training Plan

The plan made much more feet, my flexibility has improves massively and the plan's schedule has set me up on continuing with some structure eve when off the plan. I now climb 3 time a ween instead of 2 as was before the plan and keep some structure as to not lose my gains until I start another plan

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

The magic in the plan is that there is no magic. I am halfway through my plan and I can see how all the important areas I need to improve are slowly but surely improving (Strength, power, endurance, flexibility). I might have been able to develop a plan to focus on one area but would never have achieved the balance this plan achieves, I have never been so injury free since I started climbing.

Climbing Training Plan

My 12 week training program was such a good experience, and I noticed big changes both physically but also in my mindset. I've never put much effort in systemic training and it took me a while to get into the groove but once I did, I was looking forward to the training days and realized just how easy it was to use the app and get things done. The plan my trainer made me was truly custom made for my needs and I see the logic she had for choosing all the individual sets! For sport climbing, it really opened my eyes for how much extra capacity I actually have to try hard and when I think I'm done, I have 5 extra moves left. Also for bouldering, I feel so much stronger than before and get surprised everytime something that felt impossible, now feels within reach or almost easy. I think most importantly, the plan gave me confidence in my own strength and capacity to try climbs I have always wanted to try but felt too weak. Thank you. I would 100% recommend this to all my friends!

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

my coach has been phenomenal. incredibly supportive in adapting my training plan and providing excellent insight.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I really enjoyed it! Billy was more than supportive and really helped me up my game. Nothing but love.

Flexibility Training Plan

I am really happy with everything you offer. I've made good progress and my coaches have always been amazing in all aspects.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I am appreciative of the level of detail and work that goes into the plans — also, I’ve got great response from my coach with any questions or concerns have come up. Also, I’m liking the variety and volume present in my plan. I think it will be helpful for achieving my climbing goals!

Flexibility Training Plan

I was sceptical before starting the training programme about how effective it would be. I have tried to improve my flexibility for several years and made little progress. I thought I would try this for 3 months and find it to be not worth the money, but I've actually made really significant improvements in my *terrible* flexibility and I feel noticeably better on and off the wall. The programme is very expensive, but it's probably some of the best money I spend on a monthly basis. Fran is an excellent coach who is always willing to give great advice on form and variations - she's brilliant.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

The program is always well designed to help me achieve my climbing goals, the app is well designed and the coach very knowledgeable and in search of solutions for whatever problem or injury I can encounter. I've been training with lattice for 5 years and at now 49 years old, I've never climbed better and harder. I still aim to climb my hardest routes yet and the lattice team is the best solution for me.

Flexibility Training Plan

Fran was great to work with and I made a lot of strides in my flexibility during my training block. She was able to accommodate my schedule and quickly made adjustments as needed. I learned a lot through the regular video and form reviews. Highly recommend!

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I've trained like a PRO for 4 years, and I couldn't be more happy with my performance... I've reached amazing results (climbing outdoors and indoors) thanks to Lattice and I've had amazing support from my coach all over the process. The most incredible thing is that I could do my best without injuries! I also learned A LOT about training and I gained a high knowledge of my body as well. Honestly, it is hard for me to take a break from Lattice — it has been an absolute pleasure to have you in my life during these years and I hope to come back to you soon.

Climbing Training Plan

I don't think that I have necessarily gotten a lot stronger/better immediately after the training plan. However I think it's still been massively beneficial. I think with a longer plan than 6 weeks the effects would have been more noticeable right after finishing it. Now I have gotten the feeling that the training plan broke a lot of thought patterns and approaches. So instead of a frustrating plateau it feels like the beginning of an exciting journey. I have seen quite some improvements in my climbing that I attribute to a sort of secondary effect of the training plan. Especially mentally it's been quite helpful.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I have been working with Edd Mowbray on the Lattice performance plan for about a month now and I have only good things to say! Edd has been super helpful, replying to my questions and making tweaks to my training plan when I need them, as well as being supportive and encouraging at every step. I would 100% recommend Edd's coaching and am really pleased with my progress and training with Lattice so far. Thanks Edd!

Flexibility Training Plan

I saw an incredible amount of progress in my weakest areas on this program, Fran was diligent in her process and took my notes and input very seriously while explaining the larger goals of the program in a way that made sense and helped me to understand the how and why of what I was doing, too.

Flexibility Training Plan

On the climbing side of my results, this program made moves easier, I had to put in less effort on the wall and am consistently able to do harder moves because of the mobility I've gained. I want to stress that this isn't just a flexibility program. There's a lot of conscious effort to not just be able to get into deeper positions, but a recognition that you need to be able to use your strength at that new range that you develop working with the coaches at Lattice. On the straight results side: I was able to move my middle split about 25 degrees over the course of the program, your results might be a bit different, I was (and honestly still am) on the inflexible side. I don't have measurements for how much my lower and middle back opened up as part of this program, but just from the images of my Jefferson Curls... it's a lot.

Flexibility Training Plan

I worked with coach Fran for 9 months on improving my straddle and hamstring flexibility. At the beginning of this period, lower body flexibility for my biggest weakness. At the end of my 3rd plan, I don't feel that flexibility is a limiting factor in my climbing. Most of my metrics (straddle width, depth of pike, strength in the end range positions, etc.) have significantly improved. My confidence on the low angle terrain has improved both indoor and outdoor. Coach Fran is really thoughtful and responsive, it was a pleasure working with her. She paid attention to my feedback and considered my circumstances when creating and adjusting the plans. When I find time to prioritize flexibility in the future, I'll gladly come back to Lattice.

Climbing Training Plan

By the end of my plan, I was definitely in the strongest climbing shape of my life. Despite neither being necessarily the core focus of the plan, both my general upper body strength and finger strength showed considerable improvement. Perhaps most satisfying, however, was the improvement in my lower body flexibility and mobility, which not only has improved my movement on the wall, but has eliminated pain that I used to experience in my hips and knees when placed in more compromising positions. I'll certainly be retaining many of these mobility exercises in my future training.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I worked with Coach Jemma, As of Today, I seriously summarized the training progress for the 1st stage (2weeks full assessment +12weeks training ), for me, the basic strength is really increasing in an incremental way. Basically with 12 weeks training cycle. The basic strength measured by adding the weights is exactly doubled, except for my injured left thumb, its pinch strength is only increased by 0.5 times. The others like push-ups and dumbbell presses and so on are basically exactly doubled (Dumbbell presses from 2.5kg to 5.4, 6x3 sets 10x5sets), single-arm dumbbell rowing (10kg to 20kg, 8x3 to 10x5set), pinch block load (left hand 5kg to 7.7kg, right hand 5kg to 10.3kg, 30sx6 sets), push-ups (6x2 to 10x3). The single arm hanging on beastmaker fingerboard 40mm: can not do it before now is left hand 3s right hand 5s+. Now I somehow understood that the strength that are Are slowly built over time those that can stored and transformed to the power for climbing overtime; it’s also the First time for me to execute a continuous and uninterrupted serious training for more than three months. It’s Amazing! Especially to see how the progress is made in a measured way! The most amazing thing is I feel much healthier and happier to climb injury free! The working capacity is increased a lot which allows me to try more time on my target routes without injury, previously I skipped all cruxes after 1 attempt when I tried the above routes in the beginning of July, as my finger and shoulder cannot afford more attempts, closing to injury, especially with small holds + gaston then followed with far moves, I was scared to do the move. With recent outdoor climbing, I tried 7-8 attempts with each go on the route (5.13cd) and I still free good but I decided to stop more tries to avoid unnecessary injuries. I really appreciate the training effects in past 2+ months. furthermore, I feel more happy to train and climb by following the plan, I am the person addicted to following the structured plan and love to see the outcome , I guess I am falling in love with the plan! Looking forward to transforming these into climbing through next stages. A Huuuge thank you to Jemma and the lattice team for great coach and the brilliant program!

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

The experience has led to huge improvements right away due to tackling holes in my climbing development while being super specific to my personal goals. That is literally what a coach is for and Lattice have delivered. Unfortunately I've had the "pleasure" of injury recently and the support and ability to modify what I need to do on the fly has been second to none. Again flawless communication and clear instructions. Can't ask for more. For those two reasons along this becomes something I would recommend to everyone at any level that wants to take climbing more seriously. The coaching is super targeted towards personal weaknesses and personal goals. Easy communication and the fact that it is adapted to you on the fly makes for easy to follow non monotonous training. My single regret is not starting it earlier. Nothing else to add, 10/10 !!!

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

The whole process has been very well organised, the app is a great way of delivering and monitoring the training. I've found all of the training enjoyable and it has been varied enough to keep it interesting but consistent enough to feel progressions. Frances has been on hand to give advice and make adjustments whenever needed. And (probably!) most importantly I can feel my climbing improving with grades increasing both outdoors and indoors.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I feel incredibly fortunate to have such a genuinely strong connection with my coach. Lattice’s personable approach to coaching and training is the main thing that sets them apart. I don’t have a cookie-cutter training plan. I have a clearly defined, highly personalized vision that Ollie and I have developed over years of working together.

Climbing Training Plan

My lattice plan has definitely helped me to see measurable improvements in my climbing performance, making solid progress toward longer term goals. Looking at 3 key areas - pulling strength increase by 3%, finger strength increase by 9%, and completed multiple v8 boulders (before plan only 1)!!!! Most importantly though the focused structure has helped me re-evaluate how to use time more effectively to work towards goals - and has helped me shift into a quality over quantity mindset which feels to have made a big difference for my overall performance Very happy with the effectiveness of my plan. The whole process is very easy and felt that my coach (Jon Procter) did a great job setting out a relevant plan for my goals - thanks Jon! The video is a really nice addition and had me excited to start the plan and the training. Managing sessions is super easy with the app (ie planning and moving sessions, recording notes and tracking progress) which is highly valuable as the plans do have a lot of exercises and sessions to track and manage. Overall the total package exceeded my expectations, and definitely plan to start another training plan before the end of the year.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I’ve been very pleased with my experience thus far. Every part of the process has been seamless. The App is great platform for managing the training plan. It is clear that my coach (Jen) really listened to the information that I provided, and developed a custom plan to help me work toward my goal.

Climbing Training Plan

Another follow on training plan. I have real gains in my climbing both in grade and consistency. The plan is very well designed and balanced enabling me to fit in training around my other commitments. It is also enjoyable in itself.

Climbing Training Plan

I got more flexible and am now able to climb my project way faster than before. My endurance and recovery got better. Your plans feel personalized and I have the feeling that they really help to build a deep foundation for my climbing career. And I trust you. (HUGE fan of your YouTube channel)

Climbing Training Plan

I have climbed for a fairly long time, never staying too consistent in my training and often having large breaks/gaps in my climbing because of work or injury. Because of this I have hovered at the same grade for years. My plan of taking my grade from 7a (more like 6c/+ when starting the program) to 7b in three months seemed overly optimistic but I am a gambling man and had a bet with my friend so needs must. To my and everyone else’s surprise not only have I managed to tick a 7b at week 10 of the program I also managed to tick a 7b+ as well. Needless to say, I’m thrilled with the end result along with the lack of injury (which is normally my down fall). I have been recommending the program to my friends, fellow climbers and would recommend it to anyone who has found themselves in a plateau or is simply looking for some accountability and structure. A big shout out and thank you to my training coach who wrote the program. For anyone who is struggling to justify the price, my gym membership is roughly £50 a month and £150 for the program (£300 total for three months). Based on my previous experience, it is unlikely that I would’ve got myself to 7b+ in six months, or maybe even a year (£600 in gym membership) or more by my self as I likely would have over trained and undone all of my hard work. If you value your climbing like I do with trips around the uk and abroad and want to get the most out of my climbing the program seems to have saved me money rather than cost it.

Flexibility Training Plan

I am seeing the results of my training and enjoying the whole process. The coaches are always there if I have any questions and they give their best to fit the training plan to my liking and also to achieve my goals. It's exactly what I wanted: a custom plan targeting flexibility for climbing.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I can't recommend a lattice performance plan highly enough. Coach Cam has been brilliant so far and although I've only been on the plan a couple of weeks I'm feeling more motivated for my climbing and training than at any time in the last fifteen or so years.

Climbing Training Plan

Learned how to structure a successful training plan, especially the importance of incorporating volume sessions. The plan was tailored to my needs! I can now comfortably climb v6 projects in one session and v7 is in reach. So I advanced by one grade! I enjoyed my plan so much that I ordered a second one!

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

The training is highly effective. At 53 I am as fit and strong a climber as I've ever been without any injuries or niggles.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

Lattice gives me structure and motivation. Without it, I just end up climbing a bunch without any real training and then my performance stagnates. I like seeing my abilities expand the further along I get in the training program. I've never climbed harder grades than I have while on a Lattice program. It's also great to get feedback on technique and beta from my coach.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I think its probably the best thing I've done to my climbing. Having a coach that specific to your sport is awesome, and lattice seems to be the best by far!

Flexibility Training Plan

Fran has been a very attentive and helpful coach, always happy to my questions about flexibility. In addition, she clearly paid close attention to my experience, goals and abilities and put together a great plan to focus on my weaknesses.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

Trained for around 2 years with Jemma Powel, and can't recommend anyone better to look after your fitness. The attention to detail provided was amazing, my questions answered, professionaly and punctualy. We worked together to get my goals and objectives sorted out and she made clear plans towards them. I felt stronger than I ever was, and was injury free the whole time (something I was super scared of as I have a tendency to do so :( ) I had massive confidence and trust in my program and coach, meaning that I could just push hard and see the gaiiiiiins! Thank you, 10 stars if I could.

Flexibility Training Plan

Everything worked out, the exercises made sense to me, resulted in improvements and and the video feedback on the form was game changing. Apart from that I enjoyed getting instant valuable feedback from my coach Fran.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

The insights from my coach Jemma have been awesome, especially those that have gone beyond just the physical training. It’s also been particularly valuable to be able to tap into the broader range of expertise across Lattice via my coach (eg in relation to a specific injury).

Fran is attentive, really knows her work, she knows how to communicate well and addresses anything I bring up about my mobility journey

Appreciate the flexibility around my life/schedule, responsiveness to my changing schedule and adjustments to my injuries. Jonny is a very responsive, thoughtful, and helpful coach. I really like the videos he sends when he outlines the next block of training and why he's constructed it in the particular way.

Simpliy because I've become a better climber since I started training with Lattice: I've got more muscles and thus stronger, my level went up from 7a to 7b - at 56. Cam as a coach is wonderful. He is a master at training science, is flexible, has creative ideas how to make even hard training attractive, and - very important - is human and empathetic. I love the Lattice app and the mix between firm structure and flexibility. And the videos that show each exercise are really helpful. What I would find interesting is an offer in the field of mental training. Online lessons everyone can do when they want, 1:1, ... you're the experts;-)

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

The training plan and my coach, Jemma, assist me in maintaining focus on consistent training while also allowing for enjoyment and progress on my project climbs. Each training block is uniquely focused with engaging exercises, adding an element of fun to the regimen. After a year of training with Lattice, I've observed improvements in all my relevant metrics, marking a personal milestone.

Flexibility Training Plan

The flexibility training improves my climbing in more ways than I expected. Sometime you can't reach a hold, not because you're not flex enough but because your position is not optimal. Moreover reaching a hold is good but if you can't move after it's useless. The flexibility coaching cover all this points.I got injured when climbing, after notifying my coach, he adapt my plan and I could continue training and recover faster :)

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I've gotten way better at climbing since the start of the plan and my coach has been really supportive and helpful the whole way.

The expert advice from Roz was exactly what I needed to keep my climbing moving in the direction that I needed. Really it has been awesome working with you all!

Flo Tilley has helped me structure my training, improve my overall fitness and get more consistency in my climbing. She helped me achieve my best climbing year at 48 years old, sending seven 5.13a/b when I had never set more than two in a single year ! She is always quick to make any modification to the training plan and is always trying to find new solutions when injuries or change occur. A great pleasure to work with, I feel fitter tha ever and ready to reach a next level.

I could not recommend this Flexibility training plan enough! The app is very easy to use. I always knew flexibility was a big weakness of mine, but was reluctant to sign up because I almost felt like a lost cause. Fran was super encouraging from the beginning and always willing to help with adaptations. Now I am much more aware of the position and movement of my body on the wall and I have definitely made a lot of progress. I will sign up for another Flexibility plan later in the year for further improvement! It takes time and effort, but is definitely worth it. Thanks a million, Fran!!!

Climbing Training Plan

After a very long plateau and a consistent training with Lattice sport training plan, I finally managed to break that plateau. When my last block of traning was over and before new one has started, I managed to pull off some good climbs: - 7a+ on second go in my local crag (with such an ease that grade felt like a was climbing an easy grade) - two 7b's in a row on kilterboard - 7c on 4th try on kilterboard I'm still blown away about those climbs! Can't wait to start with the new cycle of training and see what this season will bring me on the rock. :)

Climbing Training Plan

While it was sometimes a bit tricky to keep up the momentum, there is zero question about the effectiveness of the plan on my climbing. It helped me break through the plateau I was stuck at, and I was even able to grab my first 7A.. Most importantly it got me to (finally) add some structure to my gym visits, and forced me to puzzle a training routine into everyday life. It was great to do this with a buddy (who also made gains), and some of my mates were impressed enough with the progress that they have also signed up for the program.

Flexibility Training Plan

I would defo recommend a flexibility plan to all climbers. For me, it was a low hanging fruit as I never trained flexibility. My results on the wall and off the wall are life changing. I used to have a bit of back problems last year and now, they are gone due to the training. I feel like I move better on the wall, I can use my legs more efficiently when reaching further or higher holds. Fran is a great coach. Her positive energy and supportive attitude is wonderful and very much appreciated. The reviews and comments she gave me on my flexibility evolution and the form of the exercises are very valuable and detailed.

Flexibility Training Plan

I am currently on my second 12-week flexibility plan and cannot rave about it enough! I have been struggling with gaining flexibility my entire climbing life mostly due to a lack of knowledge surrounding the complex world of sports science regarding stretching/mobility exercises. My coach, Fran, is extremely knowledgeable and has a ton of experience in this space. Her in-depth plans and comprehensive explanations for each exercise and training block have no doubt been the reason for my success! I have been able to return to boulder projects which felt impossible and tick them off quickly and confidently with "flexy" beta I could never have done before! It has been so motivating seeing the gains come in from week to week. From my knee pain going away almost entirely, to feeling strong in body positions on the wall that I could have only dreamed of getting into a few months ago, my only regret is that I didn't start the Lattice Flexibility course sooner! Thank you so much Fran and Lattice!

As a trauma surgeon, climber for 20+ years, and father to a 1 and a 3 year old, time is precious. Through efficient, customized, and targeted training the Lattice team has helped me achieve exceptional gains in the year I have worked with them. I climb harder now than I did in my late teens and twenties despite a devastating injury a year and a half ago. Jonny is responsive, adaptable, and encourages the open communication that helps ensure I can adapt my training to concurrent stressors at work or at home. Engaging with the Lattice Performance Plan has been the single best investment in my improvement as a climber.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

Have had Jon as a coach since April now (performance coaching plan), and truly impressed and happy with how he is personally committed to helping me move forward in my climbing. I was a bit sceptical going into the Lattice program whether it would make a change, but quickly I was taken aback by how structured Jon was, really diving into understanding my goals and how my life was to structure a plan that made sense. I quickly also felt it was fun to follow a good plan and trying new exercises that I also felt made a difference quite quickly.

Flexibility Training Plan

The lattice flexibility plan completely changed my climbing. As a tall climber (6'4) I've always struggled with fitting into the right box for certain climbs and always blamed it on being "too weak". Finally I had my eyes opened and realized it wasn't a strength issue at all, it was a mobility issue. After doing the flexibility training, I made huge strides in my climbing and how I felt on the wall. I was also better able to identify other weaknesses because they are no longer masked by positional weaknesses. This was by far the most influientatial and biggest gains I've had in my climbing career thus far.

Climbing Training Plan

I finished up a 6 month plan and able to reach my goal of sending my 5.12a project and I was climbing 5.11a/b at the time. The structure and assessment of my weaknesses really helped. The most interesting was the flexibility training, as I had thought I was pretty flexible. I definitely could not have done it without a structured training plan to follow. I am very satisfied with the results and learning to train hard for a project! Thanks Lattice!

I worked with Flo for six months, and the progress I made was incredible. I managed to push my climbing skills from a V7 level to V8, a goal I had set but didn't know if it was possible. More importantly, I gained valuable knowledge about training methods and techniques. Flo tailored the program to my specific needs and my personal life. The lessons I learned will benefit me in all my future climbing endeavors!

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I’ve been working with Coach Flo Tilley since December of 2021 and I could not be more satisfied with her coaching, the lattice team and platform and my progress. I started climbing in 2019, and began to focus on sport climbing performance during the summer of 2021. When I began training with Flo, my personal best red points were 5.12a (7a+) and V4. Within 14 months of starting to train with Flo, I reached my goal of climbing 5.13a (7c+) and V7 (my initial goal was actually V6). I’m 32 years old and started at 29, so I wanted to progress quickly. This program has made that possible. I want to give a shout out to Flo in particular, she’s extremely responsive to my many questions, whenever I have a send or attempt video I’ll share it with her to analyze and she gives thoughtful feedback, and it’s clear that she’s invested in my success. So impressed with Flo and the Lattice team. Plus, the new app is awesome!

Climbing Training Plan

I was bought the sport climbing programme as a birthday present but it was something I was considering anyway. I’d been stuck at 6c for a long time and hadn’t manage to send a single 7a. The programme helped me develop a lot of strength, and ultimately send not only my first 7a, but I even managed a 7b. I learned a lot about training and structuring a training programme, and it is definitely something I’ll be looking to repeat in the near future! I would wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone who’s looking at sport-specific training, but especially to those who, like me, find themselves on a performance plateau. It’s hard work, but the results justify it!

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

Achieving new levels of performance can be hard after 35 years of climbing. Having a unique program built by the most knowledgeable coaches helped me to prioritize the important stuff, avoid injury, and build a belief that I could be stronger. This ultimately led to some great progression in my climbing.

Climbing Training Plan

Loved the structured program, felt like I was actually training for the first since starting climbing. After completing a 12 week sport climbing program that had me mainly doing bouldering sessions, when I got back on lead I had more confidence and felt so much stronger. Prior to the program I had sent one 7a. I have just finished a climbing trip in Kalymnos where I onsighted 10 7a’s, 4 7a+’s and sent my first 7b on my 4th attempt. I can’t wait to start my next phase of training.

Climbing Training Plan

Overall a great experience. Completing the plan got me hooked on structured training, as a lot of the exercises were surprisingly fun and there was enough variation to keep things from getting stale. Comments from the pre-assessment were incorporated into the plan and after completing it, I improved more than I expected. Communication was quick and very helpful. I sustained a shoulder injury shortly before the plan was going to start. The Lattice Team rescheduled and offered advice on how to best proceed. Would definitely recommend to anyone interested in getting into training for climbing.

Climbing Training Plan

Kind friends gave me this plan for my 60th birthday and it was the BEST PRESENT EVER!! Not only have I become stronger and more flexible, but I enjoy climbing a lot more now, and while I haven't been able to test my outdoor bouldering, I know that my outdoor route climbing has improved. The flexibility of the plan makes the program easily adjustable to everyday time constraints and means that it is very easy to follow.

Climbing Training Plan

Really really good training plan! I had gotten in a bit of a rut with my climbing/training and was looking to change things up leading into the fall season. The lattice training plan was exactly what I was looking for. When training on your own, I feel its easy to end up strong in the areas you train but unknowingly really weak in areas you neglect. So by having a personalized plan that targeted my weaknesses, that were shown in the testing, I was able to have my strongest season yet! Im really looking forward to working with Lattice again and to keep growing as a climber.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

Jon Proctor has been my coach for the past 9 months and has helped me break a year long plateau in terms of bouldering grade and finger strength. Jon has been very adaptive, making changes to my training plans whenever I've not responded as anticipated and we eventually made discoveries about how I respond best to training. Jon has specific knowledge of the intricacies of different rock types and has prioritised certain aspects of my training at different times of the year to peak for either summer lime or winter grit. In addition to the physical aspects of training, Jon has also provided coaching through the projecting process, including how to break down a specific boulder, suggestions on my technique/beta, etc. This year I have managed to climb my first 8A boulder and also managed my first 8a route despite not being a route climber! I don't think I would have got up some of the things I did this year without the help. Cheers Jon.

Flexibility Training Plan

I knew that flexibility was my weakness, but wasn't really sure where to start improving it. I found the key areas to work on with Lattice's flexibility assessment, and more importantly I received a detailed and well structured plan to begin training. I'd always done some stretching and mobility work, but Lattice's exercises really broadened my view of flexibility training and I started to see results after just a couple of weeks of training. I did two 12 week blocks. Coach Aiden was really helpful, answered any questions I had and helped me to stay positive all the time. I really can see the difference when climbing, everything just feels better and my technique has improved also. I'm better at heel hooks, high steps and I have more options for my feet as I can use them with a bigger range of motion. I even sent my first 7C boulder, which was a big goal and this year has been my best overall. I would definitely recommend the Flexibility Training Plan to anyone who wants to improve their climbing performance!

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

Aiden is the absolute man here at Lattice. Extremely knowledgeable, always working to improve me in the areas I am trying to improve, and great at explaining why we would want to do certain things in certain ways. And it doesn't hurt that he's an absolute crusher himself. Could not recommend anyone or any company over Aiden and Lattice - it has improved me 4 grades (outside) already in under a year and I'm looking forward to additional success.

Flexibility Training Plan

For years, I've been in and out of yoga classes and have gone through countless follow-along videos, because I've wanted to improve my flexibility. I've got tight hamstrings, a stiff lower back, and limited hip mobility due to an old groin injury. Earlier this year, I decided I wanted to really work on these weaknesses, so I signed up for flexibility training. I worked with Aiden over the course of two 12-week blocks. We mostly focused on shoulders and hips. (I didn't even know my shoulder mobility was that limited) It took some time to get used to the exercises. However, it was very helpful that 1) the program would contain links to videos of each exercise and 2) I would send Aiden recordings and he would assess my form. Within a few weeks, I could sense significant improvement. My splits were wider than ever. I can sit criss-cross on the floor without my knees aching. When I'm on the wall, high steps were no issue at all. Plus heel hooks became much easier to place. Through this program, my side split got wider by 22 degrees. My flash went up by two letter grades. And overall, I just feel much more limber and balanced. Of all the types of training I've invested time into, this was the one that resulted in the most gains. I highly recommend it.

Climbing Training Plan

Hi Mark, it's Tom Randall here. Any negative review that we receive here (or via email) will always be addressed in detail our end as myself and the team are utterly committed to building amazing training plans, happy climbers, good results etc, it's of paramount importance to us! I'm going to also write to you personally via email just in case you don't come back to read any replies as it's important we fully get to the bottom of everything... but also because I always want anyone in the general public who reads these reviews to know that we're fully accountable to our work and that we actually, genuinely care! 1. First thing I want to say - and this is also super important for anyone reading, we NEVER want people to not be able to email/DM/WhatsApp us if they have an issue. As we build everything by hand with real humans (yes, I know some people will think we have robots and crazy levels of AI... I promise it's not true) there is always the potential for human error occasionally. We're always happy to address pretty much any issue, whatever the day of the year. 2. Regarding the cookie cutter feeling - what I can say is that 1) I promise you this is not true, our entire reputation is staked on it 2) The way that the plans are built on our 'backend platform' means that the coach HAS to start with a blank sheet so it's totally impossible for them to produce plans in this way 3) I'm in the office every single week sitting next to our coaches writing plans, discussing testing data, debating methods of periodisation.. I get to see it behind the scenes and it's really cool. 4) All of our coaches go through months of internal education and training - even if they've got a PhD in Sports Science! - so that we know everyone is using the same applied theory, experience and Lattice methodology. 3. The assignment of bodyweight repeaters was done with the context of where your initial max strength scores were coming in at when you first tested and this was added as a high intensity anaerobic FB session to compliment the continuation of the max hangs in your program. I've gone in and reviewed your plan with our head coach and we've agreed that this was placed too early in your mesocycles and should have been put a little later in the plan (we'll chat through edits via email!). 4. The assignment of load around your 5 day vacation was, upon review, not correct and I agree that this should have been deloaded. This is 100% a human error and we've reviewed this internally and come up with some solutions. This is one of those items that can occasionally causes issues due to basic human error and whilst we always encourage a client to drop us an email if something looks wrong, I do appreciate in this instance that you didn't feel that was possible and a review was your sole option. We'll pick this one up directly via email as per the points above. I hope my reply demonstrates that we're always active in dealing with any issues raised, that we hold a high level of accountability to our standards, methods and reputation and also that I won't dodge away from things that haven't been quite right. I look forward to finding a resolution on email and also that we make sure you have a great climbing season coming up! :-)

Climbing Training Plan

Let me preface this by stating that I'm currently in week 7 of 12. I will edit this review and my score should anything change, but looking at the next 4 weeks of my plan, I doubt it will. Around week 3 and 4, I was ecstatic with my sudden progress in both indoor and outdoor bouldering. I felt absolutely strong and nimble, and was ticking off higher grades than what I was sending before. I felt myself breaking past this year long plateau. I was already drafting this amazing 5-star review in my head, and I couldn't wait to rave about it to all my friends. I was ready to buy another 12, or even 24, weeks because of how good I felt. However, it was around week 5 and 6 when a particular 1-star review I read below started to resonate with me: this program didn't feel at all personalized. If it was, then my coach did a poor job at it. This was obvious in two ways: 1) I was suddenly assigned an exercise (bw repeaters) that, if you even considered my base numbers prior, should have known I had no chance of succeeding in. There was no real progression in my program thus far that would have led me there. I had to modify this exercise by significantly reducing load. Up until this point, I've followed every exercise (including the assigned weight %s) to a tee. 2) One of the questions in the survey prior to starting the program asks you if you'll be away/couldn't complete exercises on certain days. I specified I was going on vacation at the end of week 6 and start of week 7. Now, why was my program exceptionally difficult and packed during week 6? (There was a significant spike from week 5.) I've had to cram several exercises within an incredibly tight schedule. To top things off, week 7 which was labelled a "rest week" contained the EXACT same exercises as week 6. The fact that I'm having to suddenly modify exercises to the degree that I am kind of invalidates having a coach prepare your program for you. I can't even contact my coach because you don't get that privilege in this program beyond the initial email. (You'll have to fork over $$$ for their performance plan, if you want to speak regularly with a coach). I'm really sad to write this review as I'm seeing progress, but I can't wholeheartedly recommend someone to spend $250-400 on a program that doesn't respect your time and feels cookie-cutter.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

Since we started this Performance plan together my climbing has improved significantly! I have never felt stronger and more allround as I do now. You are doing an amazing job coaching and motivating. The way you adapt my training around work and family life is brilliant and the fact that I can improve despite my busy schedule is just awesome! Thank you Jon!

Climbing Training Plan

I am very happy with the training plan and my results. The initial test identified my weakness in max finger strength and this was the focus of the training plan. Coming back from a finger injury, I was a bit worried but after following the plan rather strictly my fingers are much stronger AND feel healthier than in a long time. My climbing feels much more solid, and the plan made me reach my season’s goal of setting a new sport climbing PB.

Climbing Training Plan

Having done two of these over the past two winters I can confirm they really work! I travel a lot for work but the plans were perfectly structured to allow me to fit everything in each week. Both times I came into the sport season feeling strong and managed to up my red point a couple of grades.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

Being a late starter at the age of 30, I decided that I wanted to make the most of the upcoming years in order to achieve my climbing goals. So, at 33 years of age, I put my name down for a training plan with Rhoslyn Frugtniet at Lattice. The thing that first came to light about training for climbing, was the fact that I didn't need to spend hours and hours working myself to exhaustion. The training sessions were broken down into bitesize pieces, and sometimes I'd finish a session feeling like I hadn't achieved anything. I commented this to my coach; Rhoslyn assured me that the balance of the training sessions was appropriate for me, and told me that every session didn't need to be a "climbing hard" session - I learned to be patient and bit by bit, started to strengthen every part of my body. Over the months, the intensity of my sessions increased and I started to see the gains. Especially on the Moonboard, weighted pull ups and endurance sessions. On the Moonboard I went from not being able to do any 6b+ problems for the first two months, to being able to do my first 6C+ benchmarks! (5 months later) I must say, now I am reaping the benefits of all the volume that I put in over the 9 months that I signed up for the training plan. There were points at the beginning, were I thought that I wasn’t improving much, but it is now clear to me and I have realised how important it was to gradually build up the volume of my training; now I’m climbing better, stronger and freer than ever! I put it down to the different skills that I slowly built up through my lattice training plan. Before taking on this training plan I had been climbing for 3 years (mainly sport climbing) after 9 months of training with Lattice, I feel like my base level skills have been finely tuned up and I have also made great strength gains. I would highly recommend this Lattice training plan, but if you are quite new to training (like me), I recommend a longer period of training (at least 3 months) - the more volume you put in now, the more benefits you will reap over the upcoming years. And remember, we are not pros and have not been climbing all of our lives, so don’t expect to make incredible gains in 6 weeks; be patient, put in the time now, and slowly but surely, you will become the climber that you have always wanted to be.

Flexibility Training Plan

I decided to start flexibility training after recovering from a back injury - after nearly a year of moving stiffly I'd lost a lot of my range of motion and I did not know how to get it back without potentially causing more pain/repeating the problem. Josh was absolutely brilliant to work with - he was really knowledgeable and took a lot of time and effort to find exercises that worked for me and slowly but surely I got back to my 'normal' range of motion and surpass it. It was great to work on strength at end ranges as well as just passive stretches, and I can really feel this difference whilst climbing. I've gone from feeling like a stiff robot on the wall to finding some flow again which is great :-) High steps and heel-to-hand moves especially feel much better!

Climbing Training Plan

My recently finished training plan in numbers: -Max weight pull-ups: 10% improvement -Open grip max hangs: 23% improvement* -Small edges: 6%* -Hip flexibility: 149 cm to 153.5 cm. Outdoor grades: -From projecting anti-style 7As to projecting anti-style 7Cs (and feeling within reach) -Anti-style 7As now go in a few tries. -7B/7B+ go in a pair of sessions. Notable improvements: -Fingerstrenght. -Technique. -Flexibility. ** The abnormal 23% improvement is most likely due to a very laid back first testing session, I think something between 15-20% might be more realistic. Similarly, both days doing testing on small edges were rather hot and humid (24C, 64% humidity), this perhaps had some effect on the results. To me, this sounds like a win!

Climbing Training Plan

To make it clear how great lattice plans have been for me this is the 3rd one I've had! I'm often recommending these guys to other climbers who may be struggling with eg finger strength or flexibility, or injuries, plateaus or whatever. If you've never had a training plan before, Lattice will identify the low hanging fruit and you'll see rapid improvement. In my first plan my finger strength was identified as being well below average for climbers at my grade. I went from being able to hang a 20mm edge with bodyweight+12kg at the start of the plan, to +32kg at the end. After completing a fingerboarding plan, that figure went up again to +42kg. Finger strength is no longer a limiting factor in my climbing, and I've got popeye forearms to boot which is a nice little bonus! Workouts are loaded in to the app and I really like how you can plan your own week. Plenty of guidance is given as to what structure is sensible in training terms, such as completing antagonist conditioning before a climbing session. This lets you suit the workouts to your own needs while doing things in an optimal way. Like many others I am in the position of being obsessed with climbing, but I have a desk job as well and not as much free time as I'd like. When I'm not at work I want to be climbing or training. I don't have much time to read the literature or compile a database of climbing performance metrics. These plans represent brilliant value for money! The lattice guys really know their stuff from years of research, and the coaches themselves are super strong climbers. All 3 times I've had a plan, I've seen an improvement in my grade and, more importantly, enjoyment in climbing as I feel light as a bird and injury free. Keep up the great work Lattice!

Flexibility Training Plan

Back in September last year, I decided to train my flexibility and really commit to it. Not just because I wanted to climb harder and it was an issue on my climbing, but mainly because I had struggled with lumbago and lower back problems for a long time. After trying a lot of coaches, physios and yoga teachers, I was fortunate enough that the flexibility program from Lattice was released at the same time I was checking their other climbing training plans. Needless to say, I've improved to not touch my toes (nor my ankles, almost) to fist-to-floor and almost palms to floor. Surely, it takes a lot of commitment and time, and having 40min dedicated to flexibility after your climbing session, plus daily stuff to do, can feel tedious... but the results are definately worth it. I highly recommend Josh, couldn't be happier with him. The support and additional information to flexibility I've gotten in the last 6 months is being brilliant and super helpful to my progress as an athlete.

Climbing Training Plan

I started the plan in December with hopes of getting to a performance phase by February. I was not dissapointed one bit. 6 weeks in i went from not hanging on 7mm to doing pullups x3 on it. I was able to hang on monos. My endurnace and power never felt better. I went on my trip and felt really great on an 8a as well as finished a 7b and 7b+. The plan works if you stick to it mo matter how little.

Flexibility Training Plan

Always struggled with my flexibility so i decided to focuss my training on this issue. I feel a lot of progress in my movement on the wall. High steps were always impossible for me but now they work. Feels really awesome. What I didn’t expect is a lot of improvement in my heel and toe hooks. Before I placed them in position but now they really work and I can pull hard on them. Before that was a big weakness in big overhangs, now my legs feel like additional arms!

Flexibility Training Plan

I have gotten a lot stronger over the past few months from ticking one V7 and projecting V5s in a session or two to now having ticked 2 V8s and flashing, or just a few attempts to tick, most V5s that I have tried. I could only attribute this to the stretching and increased flexibility. I feel a lot more confident on the wall and people have noticed my increased flexibility, which further tells me this is working. Also due to your explanations, I have gained more of an awareness of my movement and how to get the most out of it.

Flexibility Training Plan

Flexibility was a real weakness for me before doing this plan. I'm no gymnast now, but I can definitely notice the difference where it counts; on the wall. This is especially the case with awkward heel hooks and high steps. The plan was meticulously personalized to my specific goals, and my coach, Josh, was top-notch; always there to lend a hand and very fast to respond to questions. I can't recommend this plan enough.

Flexibility Training Plan

I am really pleased with the flexibility plan. I started from, what I consider, a low base and actually my first obstacle was to overcome extreme post climbing stiffness and pain and from just a few weeks into the plan this was hurdle was overcome. Since then Josh has helped every step of the way to slowly improve my mobility and this has allowed me make real progress on my winter bouldering project! The feedback is great and Josh is always there to answer any questions and we often use video footage of me doing exercises so he can help fine tune things. I have been looking for something like this for a ling time and it's just great that it now exists for the climbing community; it will take a lot of personal commitment but what ever you are willling to give Josh and team will be there with you every step of the way.

Climbing Training Plan

I just love the Lattice training plan. I am now on my second consecutive plan and just decided to continue on my third. I can sum up what is great about this plan in three points. 1. Flexibility. My training days move around a lot depending on work and weather, so the ability to adjust each weeks schedule is great and very easy. Also it helps to plan out the week in advance. 2. Changing stimuli. The focus of my training hasn't changed but each consecutive plan tackles is with different exercises. This keeps it interesting and makes sure the body can keep adapting. 3. The progress is real! After hitting a plateau at 6c/7a for two years I finally broke through this ceiling. 7a's are doable in one or two sessions and 7b is within reach. Keep up the great work and loving the information on Instagram! Sander

Climbing Training Plan

I just completed another block and super pleased with my progress. I started out the year unable to climb *anything* on the moonboard (specifically 2017) and decided to work on that since our outdoor crag got shut down. I'm really psyched to see steady progress and coming out of it injury-free. I've since sent some v3 benchmarks and working on v4s. The best part is being able to do a 6x6 workout on the board! Imagine that! i couldn't start on any problem before! I also appreciated the lower body exercises. I'm short (157cm) so building a base on the moonboard and gaining more mobility + strength on my legs meant that I unlocked my 'anti-style' on steeper sport routes in the last 3 months. I'd like to thank Jon Procter who wrote my plans. I have a long, inevitable break from being able to train after this block but I have all the confidence that the Lattice team will help me meet my long term goals when I get back.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I've been working this Oli for the better part of a few years and my linear progression has been outstanding. Its pretty simple. do the work, follow the coach. get stronger. wow. I'm 41 right now, i've gotten 1+ grade stronger every year, can't wait to see how far we can take this.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I started the training with Jonny around summer 2021, and it has been amazing for me. I am an intermediate but passionate climber, and travel a lot for work purposes. Following this program has allowed me to keep progressing even when work gets crazy and/or when I’m traveling, all while keeping injuries at bay and feeling much more consistent in my overall sport performances. E-mails are a bit impersonal, but they get the job done, and I really like the different exercices and their progressions. I am intending on staying in the program for a long time!

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I've been working with Jonny Kydd for a couple months now after feeling like I had plateaued in my climbing and training. I chose Lattice because of the amount of research they do into training and their data driven approach. I know I can fully trust their plan as it's based on science, experience, and analysis of all the athletes they've trained. So far it's been great to work with Jonny and have him put together a thoughtful, efficient, personalized training schedule. As someone with a busy and irregular work schedule, I appreciate his flexibility to work around my other responsibilities. He's been able to tailor my workouts for when I'm traveling and more importantly, to take advantage of good weather to climb outside while still maintaining my training phases, or create training sessions if weather doesn't cooperate. He's been super responsive when I have questions or to modify training sessions if they aren't hitting the right training stimulus. Even though I'm only a few months in I'm stoked to see the improvement while finding unexpected weaknesses. This fall I ticked a very anti-style boulder problem and easily sent two sport projects that completely shut me down the past fall and spring seasons before this. I've been super stoked on projects that previously I wouldn't have tried because they're "not my style" but now feel strong enough to tackle. Despite having a more focused climbing specific training regimen, I've noticed I actually recover more quickly between sessions which allows me to train harder. My fingers are feeling less tweaky and sore even though I've been training and climbing harder. Thanks to Jonny and the entire Lattice crew for all the help organizing a training plan and structuring it around my needs. Super stoked on the process and will definitely be with them long-term. It's been great to feel stronger, seeing improvement in general conditioning and flexibility, and definitely feel the system has been great for injury prevention given how much healthier my fingers are feeling.

Climbing Training Plan

Thanks to this program I improved by 40% my fingers strength!!! This is incredible!! . The fingerboard plan is a well built program, very detailed and if followed carefully will provide amazing results!! Thank you!!!

Flexibility Training Plan

This flexibility plan was amazing! As an already-pretty-flexible climber, I have held off on plans like this, but I am so happy that I chose to try it out. Josh worked with me to develop not only flexibility but also more strength in those flexible positions, and I have been feeling the benefits in my climbing already. The care that was taken in building up the plan, in feedback, and in following up with any questions was really well done and I felt really supported throughout my plan! This training is for everyone- even if you think you are already flexible!

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I've been working with coach Maddy for almost 2 years now and it's been amazing to have her on my journey of becoming a better climber. I've never felt more flow in my climbing and she's open and receptive to all my questions beyond just physical training. She is a fountain of knowledge on the mental aspects and has some tidbits on nutrition as well. Being a primarily a "boulderer" I thought I would never achieve high levels of endurance for harder sport climbing, but spending time on a rope and letting go of what kind of climber I thought I was has really brought back a lot of joy to climbing and feeling super strong while doing it is the icing on the cake. It's great to have such a detailed and specific plan to follow to achieve my goals so I don't get too gung-ho and waste time, energy and risk injury (being an older climber this is definitely key!). I've been able to climb to almost injury free for the last 2 years and navigated the dreaded tendonitis twice, which in the past, had put me out of hard climbing for years. Thank you so much Maddy! You're da bomb 💣

Coach Rafa is awesome! That is the short version after about 9 months of training. The little bit more detailed Version: I am climbing for more than 15 years and, if you use the classification of lattice, at elite level. I signed up with lattice for one reason - to get the most out of my limited time for climbing with increasing the efficency of the training to see if I could still push my limits further. At first I was a bit sceptical as I thought that I was already training with (kind of a) a structure. But Rafa exeeded all my expectations with tailoring the plan to my availabilities in time and Location (Gym, at Home, outside, on family vacation), adapting the plan to any changes, using many different excercises I never thought of doing that way, helping me out with any questions and discussing futher possibilities and steps of the training, etc. Sure, you have to do the hard work yourself but for climbing my personal hardest grade this autumn the structure, periodisation and all the various excercises of this plan devenitely helped me to achiev this goal.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I’ve been training with Lattice for several years and they are the gold standard. Partnering with Lattice has opened my eyes to weaknesses that I didn’t even realize existed and established the structure that I need to progress. For years I just hammered away with training that I assumed was best, but I never had the insight necessary to formulate a long term strategy for continual improvement. At 40 years old, I am stronger than I have ever been because of the time spent with Lattice and I know I will continue to improve because of their protocol.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I've started with lattice almost over a year ago. I had been climbing for quite a while and organizing my own training with the help of some of the classic books, YouTube video's and forums. I really felt like I was taking the structure of my training plan serious at the time. But as soon as I started to train with lattice I noticed what a difference a professional can make. There were just so many exercises and angles that I hadn't considered yet. It's great to be able to just focus on training and not have to worry with whether I'm doing the right thing and preparing well enough for my goals! I just communicate to my coach Rafa what my goal is, and how much time I've got, and he helps me with the exercises, structure and intensity. I was working on a project the first week I did my lattice training, now after 9 months of training I got to go back to the area. Thanks to the all the different things we worked on, the project felt like a breeze while not touching it for almost over a year!

Working with Jon is a great pleasure. I have been working with him for about 9 months now. In the meantime, I have had two climbing trips and in both trips I sent the grade I was training for. Jon is very committed to my process and that feels amazing. I am very happy to have him as my coach. To combine so much training with running a business in a scale-up phase is very demanding. Since I started working with Lattice, I don't have to think about my training and planning anymore, and I know that what I'm doing is the best thing to do to reach my next goal. That gives me a lot of peace and confidence. So I can recommend it to all climbing enthusiasts. Get a coach and fulfil your dreams!

Climbing Training Plan

Really happy with my climbing improvements, specialy with my performance in roofs and overhangs! I'm in the second month of my training plan, and last weekend I sent two V5 (one of them flashed), three V6 (one of them in 2 tries) and my first V7 (in 4 tries). Let's see what I can achieve after 6 months of Lattice Lite Training Plan! TY Raf and Tom :)

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I have worked closely with Maddy Cope for the last 3+ years and I have seen amazing growth as a climber every training cycle. When I started I could struggle my way up a 6b/+ and now I'm warming up on 6c, and projecting 7b/c. its amazing what structured training will do to climbing ability. I have definitely become stronger and fitter as a climber due to the process Lattice employs. Thanks so much Maddy and the Lattice Crew

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I have worked together with Oli Grounsell for a long time. Oli is such a great coach and he really knows his stuff when it comes to training. During the time we have worked together he has helped me reach many of my climbing goals. To me it's so valuable having a coach helping me structure my training and what to focus at during different parts of the year. I also love how the Lattice team keeps up to date with the latest research to improve both there own knowledge and to give the best service to their clients. Happy to keep working with this great team!

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I've been working with Jon Procter for months and I couldn't have better things to say. After flailing on an 8a+ project for months, he advised taking the summer off and focusing on buckling down on training. Come the Spring climbing season, I sent the problem in three short sessions. And when I did it, it felt easy. Jon was always quick to answer questions, whether about weekly training structure, projecting strategy, connecting me w/ nutritionists in the 365 community, or how to deal with anxiety. I always felt supported and the result is that I feel like an all-around better athlete. Looking forward to getting even stronger!

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I have been working with Coach Maddy for a year and it has a been so much fun and I have learned a lot. Trying to navigate through all of the information about training for climbing by myself was challenging, and I was always second guessing what I was doing. Maddy has both helped me understand what my weak areas are, and how to work to improve them. I have seen improvements in strength and flexibility, both areas makes me feel stronger on the wall, which make me move more efficient. The plan is consistent but at the same time there are variations in sessions that keeps it fun. It has been so useful to have Maddy there to answer any sort of questions, and making adjustments to the plan or sessions when needed. Thanks Maddy!

Climbing Training Plan

I recently finished my first bouldering training plan by lattice with the focus on outdoor bouldering. Alltough i tweaked my finger in the last phase of my plan and therefore was unable to finish it properly, the results are still amazing. My grade i could send in one day went up significantly and i managed to catch up with my friends in the gym, some of them are really amazed by the progress i made in those 12 weeks. The plan is well structured and i learned a lot of training structuring. The best moment was, when i progressed from strength intervalls on the moonboard to boulder triples with the same problems and even with shorter rests, i could send them. I felt strong and confident in my climbing as i never did before. Thanks Tom and Lattice for the nice experience, i will get another plan for sure!

Climbing Training Plan

After conducting a Home Training Plan with Lattice in February and March 2021, I was positively surprised about my gains in max strength, power endurance and endurance. Thus, it was an easy decision to follow-up with a 3 month Lite Plan in July, August and September 2021. I enjoyed the well-founded and carefully elaborated training plan by Cameron, that was particularly tailored on my three week trip in summer when I was on the road. I plan to start my next Lite Plan for 6 months in the beginning of November 2021. I cannot wait to start.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I've been working with Lattice (coach Jon) for a little more than four months now and much enjoyed the process and the asscociated gains. I really appreciate not worrying anymore about whether I am training too much, too little or the wrong way altogether while juggling a busy schedule. With the help of Jon I've broken through my plateau, reached my short term goal for this autumn and all that without the niggles which used to develop before with regular training. I am looking forward to continue the work with Jon. Thanks!

Flexibility Training Plan

Just finished my first 12 week block of flexibility training and I couldn’t be happier with the results. My mobility has increased drastically in the areas we focused on and it’s translated directly to my climbing in many ways. I’ve recently realized mobility was one of my major limiting factors when it came to climbing performance. I spent a year trying to address mobility myself only to see a slight improvement, in 3 months of training with lattice I've improved 2 letter grades in my ability to flash gym routes. If mobility is a major weakness for you I couldn’t recommend this more!

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I have been working with Coach Oli Grounsell for just under a year now and I am thrilled. With Oli's support and super-tuned training plans, I have made a huge leap in my climbing. I feel stronger than ever and I am. I can absolutely recommend the training plans, especially the assessments show the weaknesses and where you should start with the training. Thanks to Oli and the whole Lattice team!

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I’ve been working with Coach Maddy for over a year and have constantly been impressed with both the flexibility and results of our time working together. My initial goal in working with Maddy was to increase my onsite goal and overall robustness in my climbing. I went from being able to onsite around 5.11 and squeaking out a couple 5.12- a season, to on-sighting 5.12b. As my goals start to shift I have utter confidence that she will be able to work with me to achieve those goals. The biggest draw to lattice and their individual coaching plans is that they are backed by a lot of research and a large pool of athletes. I never doubt the process because they track the results and constantly tweak the plans to fit how your body reacts to the stimulus. They also adjust to any other constraints that you have like injuries or trips. Overall incredibly happy with Maddy and Lattice!

Climbing Training Plan

I'm definitely a boulderer. My ideal problem is 4-6 moves long. With lattice, I have been working on my endurance and flexibility. I can touch my knuckles to the floor with a standing pike stretch and my box split isn't atrocious anymore! Regarding the endurance, I was able to complete the 6 in 6 recently on some stout Moonboard benchmarks (at least, stout for me)! This is huge because I failed on several attempts the first time I attempted this workout. And the conditions were horrible, 90+ degrees temperature with a lot of humidity too! I can't thank Lattice enough!

Climbing Training Plan

After just the first 4 weeks i went from been a v5/6 climber to flashing v7 and climbing my first v8! i have seen significant improvements in all areas by the end of my first plan and immediately signed up for a second! id like to thank Jon Proctor for his excellent plan and to lattice for arranging it so I continued into my second block with him.

Climbing Training Plan

I have recently finished my 1st 3 months with you. I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you. I’m thoroughly enjoying my plan and I particularly wanted to single out Jon Proctor for his support. Any queries I have had have been answered promptly, professionally and with a ’can do’ attitude that has been above and beyond my expectations. I have just signed up for my second block and look forword to continuing my improvements with Jon and lattice.

Climbing Training Plan

I recently completed the Lite Plan, took a few weeks off, and signed up for another 12 weeks with the home plan. Lattice takes all the questions out of training. Follow the plan and you’ll get results. This training has not only made me stronger physically. It has given me an immense amount of confidence while climbing and has improved my technique dramatically. After this next 12 week plan, I can definitely see myself signing up for another plan.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I have been working with Coach Maddy for over a year now. I started during lock down hoping to be able to train hard while the gyms were closed and like most people just wanting to be able to climb harder grades. I ended up getting a lot more then I ever imagined. I learned a lot about myself, how to train, how to eat and just overall how to enjoy climbing more. During an outdoor session, I ended up with a pretty bad injury shattering my heel off a fall from a highball. I had to have surgery where a metal plate and 13 screws were put in place to hold my foot together. I wasn’t able to walk for several months. Coach Maddy worked around my physical therapy schedule and made sure I balanced between recovery from my injury and still training using a lot of modified training since I wasn’t able to stand or walk. 9 months later, still not walking like I use too, but climbing at the levels I was before lockdown. More importantly I’m not as concerned about the grades anymore, as Coach Maddy has helped me find my love for being on rock and climbing again and enjoying the process. I know for sure I wouldn’t be back to where I was without the support of my coach and the Lattice team and would definitely recommend it to anyone. It’s definitely been a life changing experience.

Climbing Training Plan

I just wanted to thank you for the great Lattice Lite program. I finished it in March and completely exceeded my expectations when the outdoor season began. I climbed my first 7C which indeed was the goal for the spring and other easier problems that had felt impossible before. I don't think this would've happened without structured and well-thought-out plan. I'm looking forward to training with Lattice again once the outdoor season is over!

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I have been working with coach Cam for the past 8 months, and I am very satisfied how things are playing out. I would consider myself an advanced climber with quite a bit of experience having redpointed routes up to 8c and boulders up to Fb8A. Nevertheless, I learned a lot of new things since I started to work with Lattice. I feel that I understand my body better and also I have improved my understanding of my weak areas and how to improve these. Moreover, Cam is very responsive and happy to help even with tactics and advice for outdoor projects. The first project of my list for this season has already gone down (an 8c, which I couldn't do in the past although I was trying it extensively). I am excited what the upcoming season will bring and I can recommend the Lattice Premium plan to any ambitious climber no matter if weekend warrior or pro. It's a great investment.

Climbing Training Plan

I wanted to write another quick review now that the results are in and I've completed my 16 weeks (4 as a taster, followed by a full 12 weeks) of the home plan. This is for anyone who's keen to get the plan but are wondering "does it really work?" YES! Yes it does. I found my climbing project for this year last November, a burly, overhanging 7a+. Normally around a 6b climber who favours vertical terrain myself, with no history of strength or climbing specific training I knew I didn't really have a shot at last year it but projecting the moves was fun and it got me motivated to train, stumbling across Lattice was a happcident. When I signed up for my first plan I could just about hang at BW for 10 seconds, I could do 1 pull up with ok-ish form (or 5 if I let my feet touch the floor for a second between reps) and my push/pull ratio was off (push biased). Now that I've completed my plan; my max hang weight for 20mm half crimp is up 128.57%, my pull ups at BW are up 800% and my push ups 170% (though I haven't had any pushing exercises as part of my plan), my push/pull ratio has also been sorted out and an added bonus is that I've managed to cut 30 seconds off my running time/km though I've done almost no running training while on the home plan. I've become a much more confident climber and my style has become more dynamic too! Thanks Lattice!

Climbing Training Plan

Why should I apply? That was my question as well. As already commented above from others you can stuck in details and get confused from the possibilities by setting up your own training plan. With my the first plan I was surprised by the workouts and intensities. At the beginning I struggled a bit to schedule them smart. My impression is that it´s very elaborated. Even when completely stuck with to lock-down home training I improved much when climbing outside. For sure there are other important aspects of climbing which can´t be covered e.g. fear of falling. But from the physical perspective it paid-off great for me.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I've been working with coach Raf for past 9 months. It was great experince with great results - I pushed myself a lot but unlike my past attempts in training I didn't overtrain. My fitness and stregth improved as well as my general health. Lot of my my old niggles like back pain is gone which simply amazing. I can also tolerate more climbing and training which allows me to enjoy precious time at the crag even more and gives me confidence. These past months taught me how to improve in a sustainable way and made me believe that overcoming performance plateaus after lot of years of climbing is actually possible!

Climbing Training Plan

I did a Lattice Lite Plan for 8 weeks at the start of the year and all I can say is that it was a great experience. The plan was thoughtfully made, and I made good gains on both finger strength and pull up strength. An additional benefit of the plan is that you know exactly what to do that week. Not more, not less. It removes a lot of mental stress trying to continuously adapt your training. In the past I've always felt like I "should be doing more" or "should be doing something else", but with this plan I could put that part of my mind to rest. I really enjoyed working on the plan and look forward on using my gains out in the wild.

Climbing Training Plan

I have been following a Lite Plan for around 5 months now and even before completing my first training cycle the results I achieved for my finger strength testing session were beyond expected! The results were also visible on the wall when to my surprise I was able to complete a V7 training circuit for a power endurance session with moderate ease. The Crimpd App is easy to use and you can organise your training sessions according to your own busy schedule each week. I have gained so much in my climbing strength and knowledge from such a supportive and invaluable team at Lattice. I am really excited to continue my next stage in training with them!

Climbing Training Plan

I am just starting this plan, but I have been very impressed with the quality of the app, and the forethought in the customized routine based on my training history. Their online support community on facebook is extremely useful and I appreciate the direct response I received from Tom Randall himself in regards to questions I had about my specific training plan. While I could have programmed my own plan to save some money, the smooth integration of the plan with the app itself is worth it's weight in gold so to speak. I am very hopeful that I'll see measurable benefit at the conclusion of my first training block and look forward to working with them in the future.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I have been working with lattice for the past 3 years now and it has not disappointed at all. The structure and content the training has offered has helped me work towards my goals and achieve the things I want to achieve. The support from the coaches is second to none and always super responsive to any queries or assistance I need and there is a real sense of working together rather than just getting handed a generic training programme and being left to your own devices, the programmes are tailored for the goals you have and that is why they are so effective! One thing i have also found is that lattice is always developing and seeking to find new ways to support their clients and really do have the interest of the client at heart. I couldn't recommend more!

Climbing Training Plan

I ordered my first home plan last autumn to get some quick gains just before a climbing trip and to reach my goal there. I never did any structured training before and was never really motivated to just train. The home plan really gave me a training motivation boost, and with measurable gains in my finger strength and shoulder stability, it motivated me even more. Even though it was only a 4 weeks plan, I really felt the difference especially in my crimping power on the rock. What should I say, I achieved my goal and climbed my first 8a and did some routes, that I never thought I could climb in my home area! 😊 For the beginning of the year I now ordered a new 3 months home plan. I feel that it is really tailored to my needs, and the team considered all my additional comments on medication, recovery and injuries. Thumbs up! I am really excited to progress on the new plan!

Climbing Training Plan

Thanks SO much for the review Jennica!! Definitely part of our tribe now :-)

Climbing Training Plan

Thanks so much for the review Kinga! Always happy to help psyched climbers progress!

Climbing Training Plan

I've been meaning to write a review for a while but have struggled to put into words just how great my experience with Lattice has been (without it getting too cheesy). Basically it's like...an addiction, but in the best possible sense of the word. You start off dabbling a little, maybe watch a few youtube videos or listen to some of their podcasts, next you might join the Lattice FB community, then you get a 4 week plan, you see how quickly you progress physically and end up getting a longer plan, which lead to another one and then another one until it becomes a constant, positive part of your life. Basically the more involved you get the better it becomes and the more you want. But it's not just about the training and the physical benefits, there's sooo much more to it! Yes, the plan is brilliant, easy to follow and varied enough to be interesting (mine has board climbing, fingerboard sessions as well as lots of S&C and mobility). The fact that it's planned especially for your needs/goals certainly adds a motivational aspect and the Crimpd app is very user friendly. After just 4 weeks I definitely saw improvement in all areas but for me, the mental aspect has made even more of a difference. The coaches are so helpful and I really think you can tell how committed they are to making Lattice the very best it can be. They really go above and beyond with what they do and there's a constant feed of new, useful information through various channels, covering all areas from nutrition, to bouldering, to projecting, training and more(!) and always in a really approachable, welcoming way. It really doesn't matter if you're completely new to climbing or if you've been climbing for years, it's a happy mix to suit everyone. The positivity throughout the community is absolutely infectious and it's really the best possible platform I can imagine for all your climbing needs. Honestly, I feel like I haven't just found a fun, effective training plan; I feel like I've found my tribe.

Climbing Training Plan

I am very happy with my decision to start the "Home training" plan with the Lattice Team. I really like climbing, but I never had fun doing physical training and it always ended with pain and no fun. In a few weeks I see a lot of progress, I am enjoying even more climbing on the rocks and the plan is easy to follow. It is very flexible and easy to understand (my English is not the best :)) My questions are answered very veeery quickly. I just started my second plan, I had no hesitation to follow it. Thank you very much Lattice Team for the motivation! Kinga Brumbauer

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I'm working with Lattice for a year, more or less. I cannot express how great it is. The coach is very supportive and reactive to my fast-changing agenda and supports me daily in arranging my plan accordingly to my job schedule. Coach Maddy is always with me for any advice or tips. I tried several remote coaching as I believe training by yourself is not the best choice, no matter your experience, but I can say Lattice is prime!

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

The premium plan is where it's at! I cannot recommend this enough. I have trained with Lattice for one year now, and feel so much more confident both mentally and physically. I have a deeper understanding of how my body works, what my strengths and weaknesses are and how to work towards my goals. Maddy is an awesome coach, working with her has been such a gift! She has provided me guidance and support with great expertise. The way she tailors my plan to my specific body's needs and goals is exceptional. Her work on how hormones play a roll in training and performance really helped me specifically. Having a coach to directly work with you is honestly just such a great tool, really cannot express how wonderful it is.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

This plan is a game changer. After 9 months on the plan - the amount that I have improved and learned is crazy. If you are like me and climbing is your biggest hobby, do yourself a favor and invest in yourself. This plan is better than a gym membership for improving your climbing (most of my growth came while gyms were shut down and all I had to train with was a hangboard). It was only after working with Maddy did I truly understand how little I actually knew about how to approach climbing training. My improvement by the numbers: Increased my sport onsight level from 5.10 to 5.12B Climbed 5 V7s in a session (before the plan I had only done 1 after projecting it) I actually tried a 5.13 (something I never thought I’d do) While my climbing and strength have clearly improved I think a lot of the benefits of Lattice are non-tangibles. I have never felt healthier. I have never felt stronger. I feel like I better understand how my body works. I feel like I have a better grasp on fear I feel like I actually know how to approach projecting Lastly, my view towards myself changed. I stopped looking at myself as unworthy to be thinking about climbing hard (for me) grades, and started being able to see myself as an athlete working towards goals. The plan has been great - outside of getting structured workouts with very sensical progressions - I have been able to ask any sort of question ranging from how to deal with being scared while climbing above small gear, to figuring out how to clip awkward quickdraws, to reasonings for decreasing edge size vs. increasing weight.

Climbing Training Plan

After training on my own for years I had achieved my goal finger strength score however I was struggling with progression in the areas of Anaerobic Capacity and core strength and endurance. I asked Lattice to focus my plan on these two areas and it worked perfectly. Now 1 year later I retested and doubled my numbers in both areas making my previous weaknesses into notable strengths. What is more is I am climbing better and stronger than ever. I'm very impressed by Lattice and will continue to work with them!

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

Climbing is a sport like any other on this planet. And in any sport when you want to excel in it, you need to train. Train for your goals, be it competition results or ever lifetime PB's. You need to set goals yourself you want to strive for. But when it comes to the road how to get there you need support. Every successful athlete has got a coach and a training plan with her/him. So with climbing, Lattice is by far the most serious, reliable, competent and hard working team out there right now to deliver exactly this sort of support for ambitious climbers! From the beginning of my training with Lattice in January 2019, I was always trusting my coach that the training I was provided with, will lead to my goals I set myself. In late autumn 2019, I fully committed to become a rock climber with everything you need to invest for it. Climbing has become a passion for me. Lattice has not aroused this passion. But Lattice has given me a framework in which I could unfold this passion! I built up confidence in their idea how to approach (physical) training for climbing. Perserverance, tenacity but also fun and pure joy accompanied me ever since! At the beginning (climbing around 7a+'ish), in three years time I wanted to climb the grade 8a. This year I went through the roof climbing multiple 7b+ and 7c, almost sending one 7c+ and projecting successfuly a 7c+/8a route. A training plan, personal encouragement, advice and mental support from my coach make me feel as if the team of Lattice is behind when I work for my goals. Huge thanks to you Oli!

Climbing Training Plan

I have been climbing for 30+ years and train like a beast; but the last 10 has seen me doing mostly 7b routes and I seemed to have reached a plateau. So I opted like so many to train hard during Lockdown; I bought the FB Plan. I wasn't used to such a structured plan and thought there were way too many rest days! However, these guys know their stuff and I went from onsighting 7a/b to my first onsight of a 7c in many a year. Buy it, follow it to the T, and reap the rewards. It's changed the way I train and the grade I climb. :)

Climbing Training Plan

Highly recommend doing this training plan if you're unable to go to the gym. When this plan is paired with the Crimpd app it is fantastic. The mini-assessment is very easy to do and make sure to be accurate with how much time you can train because Lattice will absolutely tailor it to that. This plan gave me focus while staying at home. Comparing it to previously just going to the gym aimlessly, the plan gave me a structure and to track actual progress. I was worried that not climbing would affect my performance but doing a plan actually improved my climbing outdoors. I was able to climb a 6c after having struggled with the first move a year ago. On to the next Lattice Plan! Pros: Keeps you motivated Tailored to your strengths/weaknesses Crimpd App Progress Tracking Cons: None

Climbing Training Plan

This was my first experience with Lattice home training plan during lockdown. I saw and even used before very cool App - Crimd by Lattice, but while gyms were open I always felt too excited about climbing and wasn't doing hangs or other exercises after climbing sessions. During lockdown I understood that I need a Plan from someone professional to keep my motivation for training at home high. The price and good reviews from my friends helped me to make my choice and I ordered Home training Plan. I found it very full-fledged. There were different hangs, upper-body exercises and flexibility/mobility complex. After gyms were open again I found myself very quickly on the same grades as I was before (7A). My core and fingers were stronger and I started climbing 7B. If before my training plan I only climbed 1-2 7B's for last year, after openning gyms in the summer I managed to climb about 8-10 7B's already. That is a huge progress for me. Thank you a lot. And what is very important, I understood, that having clear and professional plan is 99% of your access and can move you to your next grade the fastest way! That's why I ordered now my next 3-months plan and happy to start it next week!!!))

Climbing Training Plan

I did the Home Training Plan during the first lockdown and it was also my first structured (climbing) training plan I have ever done. Being quite a new climber (1,5yrs) I was not 100% sure if this was the right thing to do, but the tailored plan I got fitted me in a very good way. When lockdown finished and I could head outside to climb again, I immediately felt the benefits of the training. After a few weeks I finished my project (6c+), and started on my a new training plan;)

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I have been using Lattice training plans for over a year now. I started with Lite plans which worked out well for me. But I decided to go for a Premium plan last spring in order to prepare even better for a planned climbing trip in early September. There was some hard training in store over the summer, but the returns in terms of climbing ability were sweet. I am now on my third block of Premium Plans. I have been very happy with my experience so far: the plans are carefully designed with my long-term goals in mind and I feel I am progressing towards these goals, slowly but surely. I have been gaining in strength, endurance and mobility whilst remaining injury free. The last point is extremely important and by no means a given for an older climber like myself. My shoulders are in the best health they’ve been in for a long time which I think is the result of a combination of various exercises geared towards strength and mobility of the shoulders. The same goes for fingers: I have gained substantially in finger strength over the last months and at the same time my fingers and forearms have never felt better. I am in regular contact with my coach who not only designs the plans, but also provides advice, answers to questions and general feedback on my progress. This has been particularly important these last weeks as my training has needed to revert to my home: I still feel as if I'm making progress (although I will not know for sure until I can return to the gym ;-)). So no doubts about continuing training with Tom H. And looking forward to reaping the long-term rewards next season.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I've been working with lattice for more than a year now and have enjoyed every second. It is hard to say which aspect from the premium plan I value the most - the training plan is tailored to my personal needs, but the personal contact with my coach is also amazing. From technical and mental training tips to great life advice and a listening ear when needed, having a coach like Maddy has made me a better climber in every possible way. The premium plan offers everything you need to become a better (and healthier) climber and stay motivated even in difficult times. Or in my case, to make sure I also value and enjoy rest days and studying next to climbing and training all the time. Big thanks to you Maddy!

This is both a review and a thanks to Lattice and their coaching staff! I started training with Lattice about 5 months ago - in this short time I have become, undoubtedly, the strongest and healthiest climber I have ever been. In this short time I have broken through a 2 year grade plateau and it is just the beginning :-) - With the continued help of Lattice, I look forward to seeing where my climbing can go from here! What has been amazing is getting a program that addresses all the many aspects of climbing conditioning and in a way that has suited my lifestyle, weaknesses and goals - ensuring consistent gains while staying healthy and uninjured. The best investment I have ever made, in terms of both time and money, for my climbing ! Thanks again Lattice - very happy client!

I can't show enough appreciation for the support my coach has given me over the past few years. Without them I wouldn't be able to manage the stresses of my work and still climb at the high level I've been able to maintain. Their support takes a huge weight off my shoulders. Their knowledge and insight allows me to approach every training session with the confidence that I am always moving towards achieving my goals. The plan gives you everything you need to succeed... you just need to bring psyche! Been with them for a couple of years and there are plenty of reasons for why I'll continue for many more.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

In my case, I had been climbing for many years, but I had never followed a specific training. A few months ago, i decided to start with Lattice Training and i feel that it was a complete success. The sessions are perfectly structured, explained in detail and adapted to my goals and above all, my injuries. My coach is very friendly and he is always open to my questions and messages (even in spanish). I have never felt so comfortable, strong and motivated climbing :)

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

Easily the best investment in my 20 years of climbing. The Lattice crew are incredibly diligent and responsive. Most important, the plan works—and then some. The exercises are well chosen and intensity judged to perfection. I started as Britain locked down in March (having just managed to squeeze in a Lattice test beforehand). Although I have been climbing for a long time—and am 41 years old—in the first six months of lockdown the Lattice premium plan helped my finger strength improve palpably; aerobic power shot through the roof; and pull-up strength 2RM went from BW+57% to BW+70%. I surprised myself with how much the general, non-climbing-specific conditioning sets Lattice have weaved into the plan have helped. But the proof of the pudding is in the eating. So I write this review from Fontainebleau, where I’ve been ticking 7b/+ blocs in one/one-and-a-half sessions, up from about 7a just last year. Thank you Lattice!

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

When I came to Lattice I was 33 and had been climbing, mostly bouldering, for about 12 years. I've managed to bust through a lot of plateaus myself over the years with lots of research, trial and error, and tedium. I also have some auto-immune issues that stifle my recovery, and frankly I was starting to get demoralized at the toll on my body of hard climbing. I wanted to focus my training on the essentials, make space in my "recovery points" for more general strength training to handle the abuse of a bouldering lifestyle, and in the back of my mind, maybe start building a broader base to break through that next huge barrier. I had just climbed V12 the year prior after a 7 year plateau and V13 felt a million miles away. But I just told Lattice that I wanted to get more resilient. They didn't flinch at this obscure goal and immediately gave me a plan to develop more capacity and robustness. I've been training with Lattice for about a year now. I've seen significant, measurable improvements in my power and strength. More importantly than being stronger, I feel healthier. Fall is ending and I've had one of the most productive seasons of my life. Usually by this time of year my fingers would be begging for a break, but I can only remember two days from the entire fall that my fingers even felt sore. Instead of taking weeks off, I feel ready to jump right back to base training for my next performance. Less time off = more gains retained = more performance. That should seem obvious, but I've been training for 9 years and it's never been so easy. I have always struggled to get the load right, to focus on the right things, and to time my taper/peak correctly. Doing that on top of a job and life is really hard. Working with my coach to dial in the correct volume was key, and I can't stress enough how useful it is as a dedicated athlete to be able to offload the work of figuring out what to do to a professional. I just focus on the day to day – the climbing and training. I make my plans clear to my coach and he figures out how to give me the best shot at my goals. If my goals or my circumstances change, he adapts the plan to match. It's fantastic. I'm feeling more confident every day that not only can I survive bouldering through my late 30s, but that my best and hardest climbing is still ahead of me. Thanks Tom!!

Great training programme. Lattice are super thorough, professional, friendly and obviously extremely knowledgeable. I’ve just sent my highest sport grade following my first 2 months of training and I know I am going to push on further as I feel more confident and stronger than I ever have before. They have found my weaknesses and helping me work on them in an enjoyable way. I have a very busy and hectic life and the ongoing support to work around this has been fantastic. Can’t rate them highly enough.

Climbing Training Plan

I did the finger plan during the lockdown while all gyms were closed and I couldn't go to work, it was the perfect opportunity. The training was intense and challenging but it helped me a lot. I went from projecting 6c to sending my first 7a in fontainebleau and to my first 7b+ in clibing outside too. I really am excited to do that again next year and get even stronger. If you wanna improve I highly suggest this plan :)

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

I started my plan with Lattice a few months back and I've not regretted at all. The coaches are incredibly professional, knowledgeable and friendly! They are always open to questions and respond promptly with any feedback. My plan has helped me to not only push my climbing grades but also develop my technique and fitness to new highs. Would recommend to anyone looking to push to that illusive next level or even improve their climbing in general.

Climbing Training Plan PLUS

The value I have found from these training plans is being able to trust in them and commit to putting the work in. Before, I was always second guessing if I was doing the right thing. It removed a weight off my shoulders. I can now say 3 years down the line that it has payed off, both achieving my long term goal to climb 8a, and learning lots along the way.

Climbing Training Plan

Just finished my first lite plan, and already purchased another 12 week block. I really loved training with the plan, and the app made it so easy to follow. I did the advanced remote assessment before starting with the plan, and it revealed my weaknesses very clearly. After 3 months I already see improvements in many of those areas. I feel more motivated than ever, and I can't wait to start the second block! Highly recommended

Climbing Training Plan

A few weeks ago I finished up the 12-week lattice light training plan. During lockdown this has helped me improve my finger strength, and gotten me back to being fit for climbing. I really enjoyed this, and have just signed up for my second 12 week block. I have been climbing for about 30 years and am heading into my late 40s. I really believe that with structured training like this which is customised to my own current level and weaknesses, that there is every chance that I can actually reach some personal bests over the next year. I’m looking forward to starting the next block

Climbing Training Plan

After getting stuck on the same level for years, I decided I need some proper training instead of random climbing - and I thought I should get a professionally designed program instead of making one myself with my degree from Google University. The results were impressive! I improved more than I expected. It wasn't only the exercises were on-the-spot for my weaknesses, but having such a well planned program and seeing progress with controlled testing motivated me more to go to the next session (and maybe also paying for it 😁). The flexibility to design your own week (with proper guidance) was also a big plus for a full-time office worker like me. I'm now back for my second block, and can't wait to start! Definitely recommended ✌

Climbing Training Plan

Great plan. I just subscribed to my 3rd block as I have seen quantifiable results since I started last year. Lattice is my first structured training and I like how easy it is to just follow along all the exercises. It forced me to have accountability and work on my weaknesses. I highly recommend this plan if you are in need of some structure to training and want to go over your pleateau.

Climbing Training Plan

I started my first block of Lattice Lite after the walls first closed in March so I would not lose my climbing momentum. I had done fingerboarding with a coach previously but had no idea how to actually structure my finger training and I also knew I would never have the discipline to do regular conditioning exercises on my own. I love the format of this program, the weekly portions of exercises make it easy to adapt to my schedule and unexpected bad days, and the deadlines turned out to be a great motivator so I never even missed that oh-so-painful hip flexibility routine! My primary goal with this program was to maintain finger strength and overall shape, but I actually ended up a great deal stronger than ever! Once the walls finally reopened, I found I could rest on crimps I could barely hold before and my bouldering grade is up by 1-2 full V-grades. Very happy customer. Now, onto my second block!

Climbing Training Plan

This is a great programme! I was relatively new to fingerboard training (forced into it by coronavirus, like many others) and had no structure in my approach to training for climbing. Raf was my coach at Lattice - the programme he wrote was exactly what I was looking for, it built up both the volume and load incrementally and included a lot of relevant accessories work, not just hanging. My strength improved dramatically throughout this programme and with that, so did the grade that I'm climbing at. Thanks!

Climbing Training Plan

I always knew i would be capable of climbing hard but i always thought it would take me a few years. After 3 months of my first lite plan I went from V5-6 to V9 I can't believe it yet haha the exercises, the conitioning it's amazing Next monday I'm starting my second lite plan and I couldn't be more motivated. Thanl you so much Lattice.

Climbing Training Plan

I bought my fist Lattice lite training plan together with my wife and 2 other friends. We all were surprised to truly see each plan tailored to everyone’s needs. We all have seen good results so far, but particularly in my case, I have seen results beyond pure strength increase. I used to have a bit of a climbers elbow pain and one of my shoulders used to give me some trouble every once and then. The conditioning part of the training and the structure of the plan itself have kept me injury free and these two niggles have completely disappeared. I will definitely keep on training with Lattice.

Climbing Training Plan

I will start my second block of the lattice lite training plan next Monday! The first plan really showed my “working points” (sounds better then weaknesses ;-)) I received a 12 weeks program in the crimpd app with a lot of specific training for those points! If you like structure in your training, don’t hesitate! 💪🏻 (It was for me a big difference compared to my own climbing training sessions before) And it was worth it! Did my first 7a sport climbing!

Climbing Training Plan

No more Plateau! After three months of training with this program I went from projecting 12a to achieving my goal of a 12a on site! The exercise routines are really straightforward and the app makes things very organized. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to take her climbing to the next level After three months of training with this program I went from project team 12 A to achieving my goal of a 12 a on site! Climbing Training Plan

I just recently completed my first 3 month fingerboard training plan. Overall, I was really happy with my experience. I'm in the US and this was a great way to make progress towards my climbing goals during the COVID-19 pandemic. I really like the Crimpd App. The embedded videos made it easy to learn new exercises, and gave me confidence that I was using correct form and completing the exercises correctly. The built in timer and rep/set counter made it easy to complete workouts and the having the workout history in the app made it easy to see my progress. The program provided the structure I needed to keep me motivated, but provided enough flexibility that I could fit the sessions to my busy schedule. I made significant gains in my max hangs and made noticeable improvements in my finger strength and endurance. I would gladly recommend this to a friend or climbing partner and am signing up for another three months.

Climbing Training Plan

I have been using the Crimpd app for about a year and bought my first Lattice Lite plan in the spring just as we all went into Lockdown. I found it really helped my motivation and gave me much more structure to my training sessions. I really liked the way that my plan was integrated to the app and to see progress over the 12 weeks was also very encouraging. I am not the youngest climber these days (51) but still saw gains across all performance areas measured by the mini test (finger strength, pull up strength, power endurance and flexibility) and have then gone on to seen those gains transfer positively to outdoors climbing in the last few weeks which has been amazing. I would thoroughly recommend making the small investment- it pays!

Climbing Training Plan

This is a great tool to learn how to train and become stronger overall. The app is also very well designed, it makes following the sessions extremely easy and keeps you motivated over the course of your plan. I got addicted at seeing those training boxes getting filled with data!

Climbing Training Plan

I purchased the Lite training plan right before the coronavirus started to hit strong here where I live. All the climbing gyms were locked down, and we couldn't go to the crags. I started with the Lite plan with a small climbing wall that I have at home. The Lite plan has been really helpful during this period of time. It has helped me with both my physical health and my motivation. I am getting stronger climbing-wise. It has helped me to organize my time around my trainings, and to maintain the motivation.

Climbing Training Plan

This was my first time on a formal plan and I'm really glad I chose Lattice. The plan I received was perfectly tailored, which gave me loads of confidence and motivation to improve. The app made workout tracking really easy, and the wealth of info available via the Lattice YouTube page answered all of my ancillary questions. Top marks, and highly recommended!

Climbing Training Plan

After two years of random max hangs with no increase in fingerstrength I finally found the right plan. The plan from the Lattice guys opened my eyes in terms of programming the energy systems and take enough rest days. All questions where awnsered really fast via mail. As a guy who mainly climb for fun I think this is the right Plan for everyone who wants to improve in fingerstrength and dont need or want “on wall Training“ sessions.

Climbing Training Plan

The first step was realizing that I had to address my weaknesses to become a better climber. After that the lattice team gave me everything I needed to move forward. First was identifying what my weakness' are, then setting a plan that is enjoyable to implement, and finally providing me direction to effectively get out and execute on that plan. Now I'm improving and breaking out beyond the plateau I've been riding for several years. Thanks to the lattice team for helping me find the way.

Climbing Training Plan

Stuck on a plateau for a long time, I kept training by myself convinced I was just lacking endurance. Lattice assessment, instead, identified finger strength as my weakness. Training plan was easy to follow and as a result I am now climbing consistently harder than before. Totally worth it!

Climbing Training Plan

Very good experience - that helped me send my season project. At the beginning of the year I tried my project (King Kong in Magic Wood) and could not even get the starting move. After completing the program 2/3 through I tried again and sent it. Pros: - Detailed trainings per week to complete with flexibility to do them when you find time - Training priorities to focus on if the time you have for training isn't sufficient for the entire plan - Gets you fit and up your project Cons: - Need to go to the gym when there are less people to complete the timed climbing exercises - Sometimes you need to throw in a fun climbing session to stay motivated ;-)
