Oli Grounsell
Head of Coaching
Oli has been coaching since the age of 18 and has worked with Lattice since the early days. Working at Lattice, he enjoys the variety of climbers he gets to interact with, be it clients or other members of the coaching team. No climber is the same, so Oli finds it really satisfying crafting training plans for climbers across multiple disciplines, alongside learning from other members of the coaching team. Climbing has so many nuanced situations and you are always coming across new scenarios and challenges.
He has been climbing for 17 years now and some personal highlights include climbing Megalopa at LPT for his first 8c+ whilst studying in Bangor, North Wales. Making a repeat of Mission Impossible (E9 / 8b trad), the FFA of Pou (5.13a) on Pico Taterwari in Mexico and bouldering up to V12 in the UK also stand out as highlights. Moving forwards, Oli is psyched to climb 9a and spend more time on bigger Alpine faces again.
