Paul Brand has trained with Lattice since 2019, joined the Lattice team in 2025 as an ambassador, and is currently training on a Climbing Training Plan PLUS, written by coach Jen Wood.

Paul Brand is a Dutch climber and long term member of the Netherlands Climbing Team, with over eight years of experience competing at international level. Now 22, Paul has spent many years balancing a competition schedule with a strong drive for performance on rock.

Since 2021, Paul’s main discipline has been bouldering, after previously competing in both Lead and Boulder. Career highlights include four podium finishes at the European Youth Cup, including an overall ranking win, 8th place at the 2022 World Youth Championships in Dallas, and a 17th place finish at the Boulder World Cup in Bern 2025, reaching a first semi final. In 2023, Paul became Dutch Boulder Champion.

Outside, Paul has also pushed into Outdoor bouldering, climbing Never Ending Story (8B+).

Paul credits that long term support, alongside coach Jennifer Wood, as a key part of recent progress. With a strong base of experience and plenty of ambition ahead, Paul is excited to continue developing as a Lattice Ambassador.
