Pec Stretch - Static Passive

Hold a passive pec stretch using gravity or an external surface to maintain the chest-opening position for timed holds.

Intent: Improve chest and anterior shoulder flexibility, reducing tightness from climbing and supporting open-body positions on the wall.

Exercises

Pec Stretch

Pec Stretch

Place your forearm on a door frame or wall with your shoulder and elbow at 90 degrees. Step forward and rotate your chest away from the arm to create a stretch across the pectoral and anterior shoulder. Hold at a depth that provides a comfortable stretch and experiment with arm height to target different fibres.
