Loi Duong Jr

Ambassador

Loi Duong Jr is a climber from Canada, known for his calisthenics and finger strength feats. He began climbing in August 2020, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and, like many of us, he was utterly gripped by the sport, committing himself to it practically overnight! (No jokes—he began his Instagram account after his second session. Scroll all the way to the bottom to see how where he started!)

Since then, Loi has been integral to his local climbing community, as well as the founder and president of McGill University’s climbing club, where he graduated in spring 2024 with a Bachelors of Arts degree, majoring in Philosophy and minoring in Computer Science. Highlights from his time at university include organising the first inter-university competition in Quebec.

He began competition climbing in 2022, qualifying for his first Canadian Bouldering Nationals in 2023. Currently, he is preparing for the 2024 competition season, hoping to make some noise in the scene this year.

Loi currently runs RAGE Climbing, a media company dedicated to pushing the boundaries of Canadian climbing through high-quality film.

As a videographer, he has shot many high-profile events, such as Canadian Open Bouldering Nationals 2023, Quebec Youth Provincials 2024, Canadian Youth Boulder Nationals 2024, and NACS Kanata 2024. Additionally, he sponsors both up-and-coming and professional climbers, helping them produce high-quality media in hopes of attracting other sponsors.
