Nina Williams

Athlete

Nina Williams is a professional rock climber currently based in Boulder, Colorado, USA. She started climbing in 2002, splitting time between competitions and the outdoor crags of New England. After moving West, she competed in National and World Cup events while developing her outdoor skillset in South Africa, Switzerland, Brazil, Peru, Australia, and across the U.S. 

Though her hardest bouldering grade clocks in at V13, Nina is best known for her highball ascents. She has climbed the 40ft-50ft Bishop test pieces, ‘Flight of the Bumblebee’ (7B/V8), ‘Footprints’ (7C/V9), ‘Evilution Direct’ (8A/V11), ‘Ambrosia’ (8A/V11), and ‘Too Big To Flail’ (7C+/V10), as well as ‘Earn Your Stripes’ (8A/V11) and ‘Sundial’ (8A/V11 FA) in Roy, NM and ‘Speed of Life’ (7C+/V10) in Farley, MA.

She is considered an all-around climber with sport ascents of ‘China Beach’ (8c/5.14b) in Rumney, NH and ‘Papadarius’ (8b+/5.14a) in Boulder, CO, as well as multi-pitch trad ascents of ‘The Final Frontier’ (5.13 IV) on Fifi Buttress and ‘Father Time’ (5.13 VI) on Middle Cathedral in Yosemite, CA. In 2023, Nina became the first woman to complete the Longs Peak Triathlon via the Casual Route, a Colorado bike/run/climb endurance challenge, solo and unsupported. 

Nina is passionate about pushing her limits across multiple climbing disciplines. Her goals include climbing V14 boulder and 5.14 trad routes. As a climbing coach and mentor herself, she understands the importance of accountability and believes Lattice’s structural expertise can help her achieve her objectives.
