Job Vacancy: Senior UX/UI Designer

Job Title: Senior UX/UI Designer

Start Date: January 2026 (some flexibility due to notice periods)

Location: Sheffield, UK (hybrid working) 

Salary: £35-45k (depending on experience)

Hours: 30-37.5 per week (negotiable)

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Minimum 3 years of professional UX/UI design experience in a fast paced environment 
  • Fluency and strong expertise in Figma and modern app design principles
  • A strong portfolio showcasing UX/UI design work and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • A genuine interest in sport, training, or ideally climbing
  • Must be able to regularly travel to the Sheffield area for in-person working sessions (hybrid role)

What you’ll be working on:

Lattice has spent the last four years providing climbers around the globe with coach-led training plans through our mobile app. This December, we’re launching a new public membership model, marking the start of our next chapter. Our ambition: to become the world’s most trusted and widely used climbing training platform. 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Take ownership of the end-to-end design process, and shape an exceptional user experience in the Lattice app as a key member of the development team.
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO, helping define design direction that impacts the entire company.
  • Engage directly with climbers and customers to gather insights and turn real feedback into meaningful product improvements.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI designs that balance usability with visual excellence.
  • Stay up to date with the latest UX/UI trends, interaction patterns, and platform guidelines (iOS & Android).
  • Contribute to web-to-app projects  ensuring a consistent, polished aesthetic across all Lattice platforms.
  • Provide design mentorship to other team members, helping them grow in their roles.
