Matthew Mendes is a climber from London, UK. He began climbing in 2021 and quickly caught the climbing bug, having always been an athletic person, trying gymnastics, cricket, and hockey to name a few.

Matthew shows tremendous promise in his climbing, having climbed 8A on the Moonboard within his first year of climbing.

He is currently in his last year of secondary school here in the UK, studying maths, further maths, and physics. He is hoping to study physics at university next year. Once he has completed university, he is hoping to focus on outdoor climbing endeavours.
